It's your choice!

Thursday 13th March 2014
Bad habits are like comfortable beds – easy to get into and hard to get out of!

Life’s all about choices!  I was reminded of that at 3am this morning as I was replying to a message – I know what on earths going on with the 3am thing, well I woke up, didn’t feel tired, my brain started working so I CHOSE to get up and be productive instead of lying there trying to sleep.

Anyways back to the choices and consequences – it’s the harsh reality of life
You can choose your actions, or you can choose your consequences, but you cannot choose both.

If you choose to overeat at the weekend or drink too much there’s a good chance those actions will lead to a weight gain.  Or choose your consequences, if the outcome you want is a weight loss, you probably have a pretty good idea of the actions you need to take to get it.

It works with anything, if you want successful long term weight loss, you’re going to have to make a certain amount of time for that, even at the expense of other things such as partying hard every weekend, or eating out and choosing 3 courses off the menu.  Reality sucks doesn’t it!

You only get to pick one or the other, though. You can’t choose to drink and party continuously and have the consequence be automatic weight loss just the same as you don’t get to choose to frivolously spend all your money and as a consequence have plenty saved up in reserve when emergency strikes.

I’m well aware that we can’t always act according to clear-cut consequences, and sometimes we just want to live in the moment now and again, so it’s really important to remember whatever you do, own your choice. If you choose to not track, to overeat, to get drunk all weekend, then take full responsibility for the consequences of that choice.

Own your choices – stop making excuses!

I have to say, I need to start owning my choices, I’ve got back on the positive thinking path, that’s really helped this week, choosing to focus on the positive and forget or ignore the negatives that I have no control over has really helped me feel better this week.

So now it’s time to OWN MY CHOICES.

If we make poor choices regarding our health and happiness, then we shouldn’t be surprised when we don’t get the results we hoped for at the scales!

Don’t be that person: if you can’t accept the consequences of your actions, don’t do them!
No matter what you do, remember: the choice is yours.

This might read a bit blunt and to the point, but that’s exactly what I needed this morning and maybe it’s what you needed to read too!

Have a fabulous day BeYOUtiful, Eat Gorgeous, focus on the positive, don’t leave this week’s results to chance, OWN YOUR CHOICES and choose healthy & happy!

We make our choices – then our choices make us!
